The quilt was a community outreach project of the Maple Grove Methodist Church in Rowena MO as a fund raiser. Edna DeFord, the current owner states that her grandfather purchased a quilt or two each year at the church fund raiser. He always commented "Well I gave my donation to the church last week and bought some quilts."
