The quilt was inherited from mother (Zelma) in 1988. This quilt came to Arizona in 1954. Prior owners of the quilt were: Annie Meyers Schmucker, grandmother, she used it until she died; Junelda Schmucker, 1988.

The quiltmaker lived in: Berlin, PA, 1859-1889; Sheldon, IA, 1889-1897; Ireton, IA, 1897-1900; Hawarden, IA, 1900-1941; Rapid City, SD, 1941-1951. She pieced the quilts but had someone else quilt them.
