Pieced of satin & silk Pineapple variation of Log Cabin pattern. Center square panels of each square contain embroidery floral decorations., religious symbols or words. Majority of patchwork pieces are black satin ribbon, which forms a dark background. Pineapple designs are made of green, light blue, royal blue, tan, gold and green silks and taffetas. Backed with a light blue cotton twill. Backing turned over the front edge of the quilt and tacked down with a different color embroidery thread in a herringbone stitch. All stitching is hand-sewn.
