Hundreds of new pieces of ephemera -- photographs, booklets, fabric swatches, catalogs, the journal Uncoverings, and much, much, more are now available on the Quilt Index.
Thanks to the Institute of Museum and Library Services, we've worked with contributors and collectors across the country to digitize, preserve, and present online lots of fascinating new material relating to quilts and their makers.

Even in the digital world, quilts provide comfort.
"At a dental appointment last year I looked at quilts in between the dentist's drilling!" reported one app user in our survey this year.
The Quilt Index To Go mobile app features a quilt of the day and endless access to images from the Quilt Index.
New features will include quicker response time and searching directly from the app. iPad and Android versions are coming soon.
For only 99 cents, it's a great way to support the Quilt Index and take it with you wherever you go!

The "key" above is really helpful for reducing spam mail to the QI Staff. But sometimes it's hard to match!
If you're having trouble getting a message to go through, here are some tips to try:
1) Check the "caps lock" on your keyboard. The "ReCaptcha" key is case sensitive.
2) Click the first red button (two arrows making a circle that reads "Get a new challenge" when you hover your mouse over it). This will give you the new words to type in. You can click this multiple times until you get two words that you can read.
Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you!
