Scrap Bag Quilts
Out of the scrap bag and into an attractive new quilt. That's where many unusual quilts come from- and they're fun to put together.

Three Detroit News quilt patterns were especially designed to use all odd pieces. Send for them now and get busy on a quilt for the next big show to be held next spring.

The scrap bag quilt pattern combines piecework and applique. Each block has a center square with appliqued flower set in a piecework pattern of different sized squares.

Priscilla's Dream Quilt Pattern though conventional in itself, can be made unique by choice of materials, for the small patches.

Rags and Tatters quilt pattern is not complicated in itself, but the blocks can be arranged to give a rather elaborate effect. Particularly suitable for silks.

Leaflets are one cent each if called for at The Detroit News Public Service Bureau or branch offices in Majestic or General Motors Buildings.
