SCRAP BAG GEOMETRY
By Elisabeth Blondel
483, 489
Geometric patches have been used from early times in quilts. Time has seen the idea developed - and now, for the scrap bag full of bright-faced modern prints, the present day furnishes such sparkling effects as the "Jeweled Wedding Ring" quilt (483). The "jewels" in many colors, from the scrap bag, dot the large rings, which may be any desired color. For a child's room a menagerie-ful of outline animals are caged in bright-hued hexagons from the scrap bag. These, against pink or blue triangles, make a delightful quilt (489).
Buy patterns from McCall dealers, or by mail, from McCall Corporation, Dayton, Ohio, at prices and sizes listed on the last page.
