Moat Park Heritage Center, Museums Trust Biggar
From QuiltIndex
The Moat Park Heritage Centre is the flagship of Biggar Museum Trust, opened in 1988 by HRH The Princess Royal.
A highlight of the collection is the "'Menzies Moffat' patchwork, a magnificent Victorian piece nine feet by eight feet with over eighty colourful figures meticulously stitched into place by an eccentric tailor during the Crimean war, as well as many other iterms of memorabilia and photographs of bygone days."
