Has several historical quilts and small pieces of patchwork and one new quilt made by local quiltmakers to replicate a historical mosaic quilt in the collection. One of the quilts in the collection is from the U.S., another was brought to South Africa from France. Hart has led the first effort to document the museum’s quilt collection into the new South African Quilt History Project documentation forms and to provide digital images of the collection to the Quilt Index.
