The Mint Museums complex is home to the Mint Museum of Art and the Mint Museum of Craft and Design. The Mint Museum of Craft and Design's fiber department collects a variety of textiles including quilts.

According to the museum's website: "Fiber can be ornamental, sculptural, or functional, but expect the unexpected with this medium. Fiber art often transcends the conventional notions of woven, knotted, sewn, quilted and tied. The Mint Museum of Craft + Design embraces both traditional and contemporary fiber, through the Bresler collection of 36 historical quilts, regional basketry, as well as a growing collection of Asian sculptural baskets, and a broad spectrum of fiber objects from the Foundersí Circle collection."
